Founded by Mr Sushil Bansal, the man behind the success of the company, Bira Group is one of the biggest bought leaf tea manufacturers and suppliers. Named after the chairman’s mother, Late Mrs Bira Devi Bansal, Bira Group believes in creating the perfect tea blends of high quality providing them at the best rates.
The group’s tea blends are distinct, owing to their natural, full-bodied flavours and rich aroma. The name & fame of the companies’ tea brands has reached out even in the remotest corners of India. The group works with the best tea estates from all over North Bengal, runs a fully automated processing unit with an ever-increasing distribution network all over the country as well as across the international borders. Today, the group manufactures 5.5 million kgs of tea every year, owns two factories under its wing and has also enlarged its business by entering the construction business.
Bira group started with a single man’s dream. A dream of serving people with the finest quality tea at the best possible rates. Mr Sushil Bansal, the foundation and the soul of the business started working towards this dream of his by opening a small tea shop near the railway station of Siliguri. He started his journey in the tea industry as a trader by renting a small shop in Naya Bazaar, Siliguri. After a lot of struggle, sacrifices and dedication, a small tea shop that was started with almost zero money grew exponentially and helped him launch his first brand “Suman Tea”.
Suman Tea is now one of the finest brands which are associated with names like Juhi Chawla. It became the founding backbone of the group. After decades of consistent hard work and dedication, Mr Bansal has now been able to establish two Bought Leaf Tea Factories.

Mr.Sushil Kumar Bansal is a dynamic personnel who is an excellent leader with astounding communication skills. His hard work and dedication is the reason behind the success of the company. His sharp eyes for detailing coupled with his expertise makes him one of the worthiest members of the group. He believes in customer satisfaction by providing them the best quality product.
Mr. Aman Bansal
Mr. Aman Bansal is the driving force of Bira Group. The youngest and the liveliest member of the group, Mr. Aman is hardworking and dedicated to his craft. A BBM degree holder from Jain University, He is the perfect blend of brain and skills. He looks over sales, marketing and overall operations of the company. His passion for work and growth is one of the key factors behind the growth of the company.
Our Executive Team
Mr. Pawan Kumar Agarwal
Mr. Pawan Kumar Agrawal, a member of the company since 2018, looks after the sales of all the bought leaf tea factories acquired. He has worked in the tea industry for the last 10 years, is an accomplished tea taster, holds excellent communication skills, and is very efficient in his role. He has helped the Group maintain quality and standard with his excellent knowledge of the tea.
Mr. Subham Lohia
Mr. Subham Lohia, a trained chartered accountant with realistic management expertise, has been a key team member of the company since 2017. His contribution in the fields of Tax Planning, Capital budgeting, Budget forecasting, Finance and other statutory compliances have further enabled the group to concentrate on it's core objectives.
Mr. Sarabjit Pathak
An executive member of the group since 2016, Mr. Sarabjit Pathak is responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of our tea factories. He is a qualified and skilled finance graduate from the University Of Calcutta. His skills combined with the team’s efficient execution have helped the business to grow and build a competitive advantage in the new economic climate.
